I have a drawing that has multiple views (side view, top view). I am trying to assign each view to its own layer (group Layer?) I have drawn both views in one model space and have assigned layers: Object, Centerline, Dimensions, Text, etc. I would like to have each view separate (on a different group layer?), but with all layers intact. Am I correct in wanting to use group layers to do this? If so, how would I go about separating views? Should I do it differently? Please help with any instructions, videos, advice, etc. I am a novice.

Hi Robert, my apologies for the late response:

I think you can use layer groups for creating a separate “section” for your views but I would recommend you try Layer states. It will help you manage the layer along with visibility and other settings of the layers. Here is the video lecture related to layer states https://academy.thesourcecad.com/topic/working-with-layer-states-and-layer-walk/
